The Surabayan post-rock band, Shrine, has recently released a new single titled “Placid Mind” as a preview of their upcoming EP titled “Sacred Limbo”. This single serves as an introspective piece, chronicling the journey of self-realization, overcoming obstacles, and embracing failures as an inevitable part of life. With their new release, Shrine has infused the shoegaze and post-rock genres with fresh energy, highlighting the importance of individual aspirations and dreams as a path towards inner peace and tranquility.

Shrine’s creative influences are wide-ranging, drawing inspiration from various bands such as Airiel and For Tracy Hyde for their vocal lines, as well as Slowdive for their atmospheric ambience. Their latest single, “Placid Mind”, is set to be released on March 24th, 2023, and will be available on all digital streaming platforms (DSP) and Bandcamp.
